Justin Goldat is a 32 year old American musician and songwriter from New York City with an extensive musical background. A multi-instrumentalist who has worked with numerous bands in the Metropolitan area and Los Angeles music scenes, his talents stretch over multiple genres of music including Metal, Rock, Jazz, Classical, Blues, Funk, and Fusion. Acts that Justin has worked with include Iscariot, White Wizzard, Dead Superstar and Kore Rozzik, which he has toured with regionally and across the United States. In addition to him being an in demand live musician, Justin is also a session musician having played on numerous recordings for various artists in the local, national and international music scene.
Justin has studied music for over 20 years, most notably with distinguished guitarist Thomas Cavanagh (Lita Ford, Sons of Infinity) and international vocal teacher Max Lawerence (Axl Rose, Lady Gaga). Justin attended Five Towns College to study Jazz Commercial Performance, Classical Guitar, and Audio Engineering. where he completed his four year bachelors degree in two and a half years.
In July of 2014, Justin joined the Long Island Death Metal band Iscariot. While in the midst of writing and recording their latest EP, they recruited Justin to help finish composing the material, which would later become their Reign Undivine release. After hiring him to also be the second guitarist for the live show, in just one year the band went from doing local and regional shows to making it onto a part of the 2015 Summer Slaughter Tour in support of Arch Enemy, Born of Osiris, Veil of Maya, and The Acacia Strain. Justin continued his work with Iscariot, writing and recording their second release, Blood Doctrines, in August of 2016, which they toured extensively in support of the album. This led them to again make it on to multiple dates of the 2017 Summer Slaughter Tour, opening up for legendary acts such as The Black Dahlia Murder, The Faceless, Dying Fetus, and Rings of Saturn.
At the same time, Justin finished the writing and recording of his first solo Instrumental guitar album, Singularity, inspired by his favorite guitarists Steve Vai, Guthrie Govan, Frank Zappa, and Steve Lukather. With his album nearing completion, and the revival of the New York instrumental guitar showcase, G.E., Justin was invited to join Thomas Cavanagh as well as accomplished instrumental guitarist Rob Balducci in playing the first G.E. show in over 20 years.
For the past decade, Justin has been working as a professional musician, gigging with some of the top club date bands in the business, notably Starlight Music and Hank Lane Music. Additionally, he has worked as a guitarist on multiple productions of Broadway shows for some of the largest regional theaters in the Northeast.
Justin is currently fronting his original band Crypterion, a Thematic Death Metal band from New York City, and planning their upcoming album release Determinism-Autonomous. He is also working with the band White Wizzard, a Metal band from Los Angeles, on their newest album Time To Pay the Fiddler. Justin will be on road with White Wizzard and Kore Rozzik for their upcoming 2025 and 2026 tour dates.
